"Daily Thought"

Today I was reading in the Bible and I wanted to share what I learned about.
Matthew 4:18-22

18¶And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.
19And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.
20And they straightway left their nets, and followed him.
21And going on from thence, he saw other two brethren, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in a ship with Zebedee their father, mending their nets; and he called them.
22And they immediately left the ship and their father, and followed him.

What I really like about this section of scripture was how these great men didn't ask any questions, they didn't need a reason why, simply they followed the Savior.  I'd like to hope that I would have dropped everything and follow.  That in fact is the question that we should all ask. If Christ asked us right now would we drop our lives and follow.

  1. Love this!! I often wonder the same thing. Especially in today's world I think it is hard to put aside everything for the most important thing in our lives.. or at least what should be. With work, family, friends, school, and whatever else is going on in our lives, we all need to take even a moment a day to remember our Savior, and remind ourselves what our priorities should be.
